THE STYLIST VIEWPOINT

STYLE WINTER 1021

For small celebrations, online blessings and relaxed gatherings it can be tricky to strike the balance between looking bridal and looking a little too bridal. This dress is a beautiful example of a item which works for intimate formalities, dinner and dancing or a bridal party of just a few.

Designed with the feel of 1950’s glamour, the shape is universally flattering with a fitted waistline, wide cut neckline and full skirt. Delectable chiffon layers bring romance and femininity, prettiness and decadence. The rich cream colour is luxurious and sits beautifully against every skin tone. With necklines such as these I prefer to keep necks clear of jewellery instead focusing on bolder earrings which allows the gracefulness of the shoulder and clavicle to be uninterrupted. Add some bridal detail in the hair with this feather headband reflecting the lightness of the dress.

Choose some fanciful underwear - strapless bra essential - and be bold with shoes. I have opted for a gold sandal for a more modern and fresh look, but a classic colour matching shoe works too if you prefer a perfectly co-ordinated style.
